Oregon's Prettiest & Best Supported 100-Miler
NOTE: Much of the early portion of the course, around the Olallie Lake area, was burned in 2020 fires. We won't know if we can use that section of the course, but are anticipating having to use the alternate course again in 2022. The race would start and finish at the Historic Clackamas Ranger Station instead of Olallie Lake. This is the location of the big crew aid station on the normal course and also where we put on the Mt. Hood 50 races.
Mountain Lakes 100 is of the country’s most scenic 100-milers. Starting and finishing at Olallie Lake, and running along more than 25 lakes, this race features the best trail running Oregon has to offer – technical and rocky sections, views of mountain peaks in every direction, and 60 miles of luscious sections of the Pacific Crest Trail. The aid stations and support on the course is outstanding. You'll be greeted by experienced volunteers who are as focused on getting you to the finish as can be.
This race is a Western States 100 qualifier and provides 5 points toward every race of the Ultra-Trail du Mont-Blanc®
Due to the extreme popularity of this event and the smaller capacity, it is a lottery. You can enter the lottery January 30-February 5, 2022. The drawing is on February 6th. Capacity is 150 runners. The names not drawn during the lottery are placed on a wait list in random order.
If you need to cancel your registration and it’s more than 30 days prior to the race, you will receive a 50% credit toward a future Go Beyond Racing race. This credit is equal to half the value of the race you registered for and can be applied to any of our races that aren’t already sold out. You can use this credit within 365 days of it being issued. There is no transferring of this credit. If your cancellation is 30 days or less from race day, there is no credit, no refund, or no transfer. You can read our entire cancellation policy here:
Trail Work Requirement
There is a trail work requirement for this race. All runners must complete 8 hours of trail work between October 1 of the previous year and September 1 of the race year. This is a real requirement and those who do not submit their hours will forfeit their spot. Details are on the race website.
