2026 - Runamuck 50k returns!
After a two‑year hiatus, Runamuck returns to Saskadena Six, and it’s poised to test every bit of your grit. Expect wind, mud, rain, and possibly snow as Mother Nature never disappoints at the Runamuck!
If you relish adversity this is the kind of race that delivers. This is a tough course and there is an 8 hour cutoff!
Course Description
The race begins and ends at Saskadena Six ski area in South Pomfret, VT.
The course covers approximately 27 miles of hilly dirt roads, with about 4 miles of pavement.
Elevation gain totals 3,726 vertical feet.
From the start, you’ll climb and dip through forested backroads, with rolling hills and occasional steeper pitches. Mid-race, the terrain continues to challenge with more climbing and constant undulation over the dirt roads, before finishing back at the base of Saskadena Six.
Because the course is almost entirely on dirt roads (with just 4 miles of pavement), footing can shift with weather—mud, puddles, and soft ground are possible.
Aid Stations & Support
Two fully stocked aid stations are located roughly at miles 12 and 23.
An additional water stop is available around mile 6 with orange and banana slices
Expect standard trail race fare (water, tons of snacks)
