Run with the Bears
Join us on April 20th at Bear Lake Reserve for our Run with the Bears 5K! Surrounded by blossoming trees and beautifully manicured fairways, this race offers participants a unique opportunity to explore the beauty of our grounds in a dynamic and engaging way. With breathtaking views overlooking the majestic Blue Ridge Mountains, runners will follow a gorgeous, yet challenging route that winds along a mix of golf cart paths and specially blocked-off roads.
It may not be a marathon, but this is not your average 5K either! Runners will start at The Summit and experience 645 feet of elevation change throughout their run. As you run along the nine hole course, be prepared to take in 91-miles of mountainous views, from Clingman's Dome to Rockyface Mountain. The race will also end at The Summit, where we will reward each finisher with a Bear Lake Reserve t-shirt and a "Run with the Bears 5K" water bottle; the top 3 male and female finishers will receive a trophy and gift card!
Stick around after the race to refuel at our Peak-to-Plate brunch, relax in one of our 2 hot tubs at the Lake Club, and take part in all the mountain activities your heart desires. If your legs have more juice in them, try one of our hiking trails and see what new views you can discover. If you’re dying to get out on the water, our full-service marina will be open for water craft rentals so you can explore Bear Creek Lake till your heart’s content!

About Race Day
