About the race:
Apologies for the small price increase this year - everything is getting more expensive, and we have some aid station tents that need to be replaced this year. Thank you for understanding :)
The Course:
The course will be 75% singletrack and 25% dirt/gravel service roads...and it'll kick your ass. Our 50k runners will suffer thru 7-8000ft of elevation gain on some of the roughest trails Kitsap has to offer.
Both 25k and 50k runners/ruckers will enjoy some beautiful views from the summit and ridges of Green Mountain. The course will be well-marked again with surveyor's ribbon and bright yellow signs at critical intersections.
Post Race Food:
We will have a food truck on - site serving up some post-race grub. Keep an eye on our Facebook page for more information on that. Bring a chair and BYOB and enjoy some post race hang out time with friends.
Aid Stations:
Expect good food, friendly faces, and possibly some PBR. We'll have a solid assortment of foods like usual--chips, quesadillas, guacamole, watermelon, potatoes, etc....and an assortment of other sugary goodness. Keep in mind that this is a cupless race, so don’t forget to bring a hydration bladder to fill up!
Ruck Option:
Our 25k ruck option has been a big hit, and continues to grow! We welcome ruckers of all levels to join us. Participants will need to wear a rucksack/backpack weighing between 20 and 30 lbs (not including water, food, or other consumables). All finishers will receive a Dirty Turtle 2025 Rucking Patch. For our third year, we’re recognized as a GORUCK Official Rucking Division. All ruck finishers will also earn a GORUCK Official Rucking Division Patch!
Camping:
Camping at Green Mountain Horse Camp will be available this weekend, from Friday thru Sunday. There are vault toilets available, but no potable water or showers, so make sure to bring your own. Campsites are first come, first serve. We have always had plenty of sites available for tents, dirtbag rigs, and small campers. There are some pull-thru sites available as well.
Merch!
Both hoodies and Patagonia tech tshirts may be pre-ordered ahead of time when you register for the race. **NOTE that the ability to pre-order will be turned OFF after April 1st, to allow us time to get these printed.
There will be some extras available for purchase on race day, but we can't guarantee availability as they will be first come, first served.
