Registration opens October 28, 2024!
Tier 1 pricing will be available through January 1, 2025! We're excited to add a 12-hour night time run this year starting at 7 pm! Come get some night-time training miles in before Tunnel Hill in November!
Let me introduce myself! I'm Micki Colson. My husband, Chad, and I are super excited to be stepping forward as race directors for the 2025 event! The sparkly, spunky, pink beacon of light that is our friend Laura isn't going anywhere. We need the joy she brings to all of our lives, so you can rest assured she will still be there cheering you on!

Pricing at checkout will reflect Ultrasignup's new "all-in pricing" which adds the fees with our registration fee.

24 hour- $130
24 hour relay- $230
12 hour- $90

We will have medals and awesome shirts for all finishers registered before 9/27/25. overall awards and age group awards.
Buckles are awarded for those that finish 100 miles in the 24 hour race before cut-off.
Course
Arrowhead Lake Campground is in Johnston City, IL (about 15 minutes north of Marion, IL) with a certified 2.07 mile loop around the lake. The trail is 99% gravel with a small concrete section up the boat ramp. With less than 50 ft of elevation change per loop, it offers some fast times and supports big miles as we have had national level mileage totals in the first two years! Chip timing provided by Jason Claunch at SoILL Racing.

Aid station and set up
We will once again have one large aid station at the start finish area. We will have standard aid station fare, including chips, candy, fruit, cookies, etc and an electrolyte option and water, as well as hot food options throughout the duration of the event. If you have specific dietary needs/restrictions, we recommend you bring what you need with you. (Aid station food is for participants only.)
You're welcome to set up your own pop-up tent/aid station, but not until race day morning. Bring a camp chair, small table and all of your favorite things, or just come see us at the start/finish every loop and we will take care of you!
Finding Forever Rescue
We will be collecting cat and dog food for the animal rescue. We appreciate any donations.
Refund Policy/Deferrals/Runner Etiquette
Entry fees are non-refundable; race numbers and entries cannot be transferred to another year. No exceptions. This means once we have received your entry, you will not receive a refund if you cannot participate, or if the event is cancelled because of weather, natural disaster or other unforeseen circumstances.
PREGNANCY DEFERRAL – Women who get pregnant between registration and race day may . defer 100% entry fee to the following year only. Please, you must notify the race director contact the RD well in advance to cancel and defer your registration.
Military and First Responder Discount - Contact us for a discount code if you are active military, a veteran or a first responder.
Littering will result in disqualification. We have plenty of trash cans! Just bring us your trash.
We will not tolerate any inappropriate behavior towards any of our volunteers or staff. If you have a complaint please direct these to Micki and Chad Colson at chad.colson@gmail.com. Failure to follow this guideline will result in disqualification from the event and possibly being banned from future events.
