Event Details
Come celebrate the annual Liquid Gold 5k and bring awareness to breastfeeding and feeding of mother's milk.
The beautiful morning starts off at the Knowledge Center on the University of Nevada, Reno. Our well marked course winds through the University campus and after the race please stay for our great family event. There will be a children's fair, kid/family friendly vendors, post race snacks and drinks, and a raffle. Additionally, the Coalition's annual Northern Nevada Latch On will take place after the race too! This event pairs Northern Nevada mothers with their nurslings in breastfeeding or offering pumped milk by bottle for 1 minute. We will have swag bags for those participating in the Northern Nevada Latch On event.
Liquid Gold 5k is sponsored by the Northern Nevada Breastfeeding Coalition.
T shirts: All running participants registered by July 10th will receive a free official race T-shirt. All other participants will have the option to purchase a T-shirt for $15.
Top prizes will be awarded to the overall winner and 1st stroller.
Tentative Schedule:
* 5k Race Registration- 7am-7:30 am
* Race warm up 7:45 am
* 5k Walk/Run Start Time- 8am
* Family Loop Start Time- 8:05am
* Northern Nevada Latch On Registration Begins- 9am Get your swag bags while supplies last!
* Kids Race Start Time - 9:30am
* Northern Nevada Latch On- 10:30am
* Kids Fair- 8am to 12pm with free classes and activities
Parking Information:
* Parking is free in the Brian J. Whalen Parking Garage across from the Knowledge Center.
