Welcome to the 3rd running of Yuba Gold 50k! Just outside of Nevada City, CA, in the heart of gold country, this course includes beautiful views of the South Fork Yuba River, a jaunt thru the historic gold rush town of Washington, CA, forested upper Pioneer Trail, and scenic Bear Valley.
When: The 50k will start at 8 am on Saturday, October 1st, 2022. There will be a 10 hour cut-off, therefore the race will officially end at 6 pm.
Swag: Finishers will receive finisher medals and T-shirts at the finish line.

Day parking is just past the campground on the left side.
The course will be well marked but markings have been sabotages in the past in multiple locations. It is STRONGLY RECOMMENDED that runners have a the course map downloaded in advance of race day to their phone or other gps device.

Aid Stations & Finish Area: Poorman Creek (mi 14.5), Omega (mi 21), & Excelsior (mi 25.8) Aid Stations will be well-stocked with water, electrolytes, sodas, energy gels, salt, bananas, M&M's & various other snacks. Due to Missouri AS (mi 7.3) being inaccessible by vehicle it will be more minimally stocked. If you are camping, this means you'll need to bring extra food for time spent on-location outside of your finisher meal. Please also note that, in the interest of being environmentally friendly, this is a cupless event, so be sure to carry a reusable cup or water bottle.
Covid-19: Gloves and masks will be used by volunteers at all aid stations, start, and finish locations and hand sanitizer will be provided at each location. As has become commonplace at events, please do not handle anything, but instead ask volunteers for help with food items, pouring water, etc.
Restrooms: Pit toilets can be found at the start area in the South Yuba Campground parking lot (1), on-course at Poorman Creek (mile 15)(also 1), and at the finish area at Bear Valley Campground (2) and the neighboring Sierra Discovery Trail parking lot (2 more).
Shuttles: Shuttles will be available on race morning to take runners from the finish in Bear Valley to the start. It's $10 per person, payable via Ultrasignup during the registration process.
Camping: We have PG&E's Group Campground in Bear Valley (the finish area) both Friday & Saturday nights. It's $20 per person, per night, payable when you register via Ultrasignup.
