Flyover Slam

Honey Creek, IA Flyover Slam

This Event Took Place Sat. Feb 11, 2023

FLYOVER SLAM DETAILS - PLEASE READ COMPLETELY BEFORE REGISTERING!

The FLYOVER SLAM is completion, within course regulation times, all four of the 100-mile events for:

HAWK Hundred, September 10, 2022 (Lawrence, Kansas)
MINES of SPAIN Hundred, October 14, 2022 (Dubuque, Iowa)
HITCHCOCK 100, December 10, 2022 (Honey Creek, Iowa)
OUTLAW 100, February 11, 2023 (Wilburton, Oklahoma)

Runners have until October 1, 2022, to register for the Flyover Slam, but with additional restrictions as noted below.

Since many of the events have size limitations, caps, and/or waiting lists, runners not already signed up for races that have reached capacity limits will be limited and subject to availability in that event. Signing up for the Flyover Slam is not a guarantee for all runners to get entry into events already at capacity. Individual Race Directors reserve the absolute authority to make this determination based on their event. PLEASE NOTE: If you are not already signed up for Mines of Spain, the only way to qualify for the 10 runner waitlist bypass is to 1) Be signed up for Hawk 100. 2) Add yourself to the Mines Of Spain waitlist and accept the registration invitation within one week of signing up for the Flyover Slam.

NOTHING TO LOSE, only GLORY to GAIN. There is no additional cost to enter the Flyover Slam beyond the entry fees for the qualifying events.

This event is purely voluntary on the part of everyone, race directors included. As the RDs for these four events, we all love our events, and love our other Midwestern Events and race directors (all-good natured ribbing aside). We know these four events are deceptively difficult and doggone it, anyone completing all four in a year should have something to show for it other than blown quads and a collection of missing toenails.

So, you may be asking, “WHAT’S IN IT FOR ME????!?!!???”
The first ten (10) runners who register for The Hawk AND the Slam get to bypass the waitlist for the Mines of Spain 100 (per regulations in the first paragraph above) if they are not already signed up. (LOOKING AT YOU, 60 PEOPLE WAITING TO GET INTO MINES OF SPAIN).

Participation in four fantastic 100-mile events with all they have to offer in race support, SWAG, and hours and hours of trail time.

All 50,000 feet of ups and downs these events the flat, uninteresting, non-descript Flyover states Iowa, Kansas, and Oklahoma have to offer on foot.

Finishers award for all participants who successfully complete the slam.
