About the Course

Meet Joe at 7 am at Gravity Haus for registration and hydration station. He'll then guide the runners over to the base...The race will end at Gravity Haus for coffee and light bites, where you can mingle with Joe and the team.

Joe Gray will guide the runners over to the base of Vail Mountain, where all of the race courses start. Along the run Joe will recommend options to cut the run shorter if desired.

Upon arrival at the Front door of Gravity Haus, do NOT go inside. Instead, walk about 100 feet to the left, around the corner towards Vail Valley Drive to meet at the patio.

Post-Run Refreshments in the Member's Lounge at Gravity Haus. Please enter the main doors and head directly down the stairs. Unravel coffee, Rowdy Mermaid soft kombucha, and water will be served.

Meet the GO Sleeves professional runners

Joseph Gray
Joseph Gray from Colorado Springs, CO, won the 13th XTERRA Trail Run World Championship half-marathon title with a winning time of 1:22:25 this past December, 2021. It was a record-breaking sixth-consecutive XTERRA Trail Run World Championship win for Gray and his unprecedented sixth elite title in Hawaii. Gray is the first Black American to not only make the Team USA World Mountain Running Team, but also the first Black American to win the USA National Mountain Running Championships and the World Mountain Running Championships. Additionally, he is the first athlete to win the North American, Central American, and Caribbean Championships in Cross Country and Mountain Running.

Josiah Middaugh
Josiah Middaugh was inducted into the XTERRA Hall of Fame in December, 2019 at the World Championship. Middaugh is a 15-time XTERRA USA National Champion, the 2015 XTERRA World Champion, a 3-time Fat Bike World Champion and a 6-time USSSA National Snowshoe Champion. Middaugh’s career in off-road triathlon began in 2002 as an amateur XTERRA racer. After winning amateur divisions he turned pro in 2003 and hasn’t looked back. Middaugh also has a Masters in kinesiology and runs his own triathlon athlete coaching business from his home in Beaver Creek, Colorado.

Hillary Allen
Hillary’s career as an endurance athlete has not been straightforward. Through injury, setbacks and unexpected challenges, Hillary’s had to re-think what she considers impossible. Early in her career, Hillary earned the nickname “Hillygoat” when she proved her ability to run fast on steep, technical mountain terrain – a style of running known as Skyrunning. Since then, she has raced all over the world, racking up wins and course records, establishing herself as one of the best mountain ultra runners in the world. She is also a trail running coach, and a gravel cyclist.

Zachary Friedley
Zachary Friedley is a professional adaptive trail runner who has dedicated his life toward inclusion and representation of disabled athletes in professional trail races. Zachary was born missing his right leg and uses a prosthetic leg and blade to “trail blade” in races around the world. A short film will be released on June 3rd documenting the first ever “Born to Adapt” run for adaptive athletes hosted by Zachary, GO Sleeves and http://allwedoisrun.com.
