Race Information

Andalé Preseason Cross Country 3.1 & 1.5 Mile Invitational

Saturday, August 6th – Andalé Preseason Cross Country 3.1 & 1.5 Mile Invitational. This race is geared toward all middle, high school, and open/coach runners in the Midwest, specifically the Kansas City Metro Area. There will be three divisions with men and women competing separately. This is a way to test your fitness coming into the start of the Fall Cross Country Season. You will represent yourself, not your school. No team scores. The plan is to grow this into the largest preseason cross country meet in the Midwest.

Start Time and Order of Events:

9AM – 1.5 Mile – Girls and then Boys
9:45AM – 5K start

Order of Events
Girls Middle School Division – 1.5 Miles
Boys Middle School Division – 1.5 Miles
Girls High School Division – 5K
Boys High School Division – 5K
Open Men/Coaches Division – 5K
Open Women/Coaches Division – 5K

Race Includes:

A well-marked course with one aid stations.
Photography, and race bibs.

People used to call me granola. I am a huge proponent of Leave No Trace and that extends to what you take with you from the race. Not everyone wants a shirt and I don’t want to order one, have energy and materials used and wasted in production and shipping, just to be left in a drawer, thrown away, or end up in a landfill. This way you have the option of deciding for yourself if you really want one or not. No big deal.

Awards:

There will be medals for the Top 3 Men and Women in each division and ribbons for all other finishers.

Packet Pickup:

Packet Pickup will be on Thursday, August 4th and Friday, August 5th at a location to be determined. There will also be race day Packet Pickup at the race location, starting 1 hour prior to your event.

There will be Late Registration at both the packet pick-ups and at the race itself.

Refund Policy:

No Refunds, but you can defer:
Runners may defer their race entries to the same race the following year by notifying the Race Director a minimum of 10 days prior to the event. Deferral will not be permitted for any runner making a request less than 10 days before the scheduled event and we do NOT offer refunds. The race deferral is good for one year only. Requests for deferral must be submitted (to the Race Director) by email, or communicating through the UltraSignup registration site.

$20 for 1.5 miles
*Ultrasignup does charge an additional fee.
*You register at packet pickup for no additional fee or the day of the race.
*Cash, check, card, and Venmo will be accepted at packet pick up or the day of the race.
