Race Overview
Welcome to the Eagle Up Ultra!!! Unofficially the worlds LARGEST 24 Hour Ultra!!
This event takes place at St. Helena Park in Historic Downtown Canal Fulton, OH. We are partnered up with Team RWB for this event!!
The Eagle Up Ultra began Nine years ago and has become one of the largest 24 hour races worldwide.We are partnered up with Team RWB as our race charity and donate a portion of EVERY registration!! Over the years we have had runners, many veterans and a TON of Team RWB members come here from over 40 states and 3 countries!!
Aid Stations
We have one main aid station at the pavillion in the park. We at Race Brimstone always have tons of food selections for everyone, sweet and salty snacks, fruit, hot food later in the day. Please only runner and thier pacers in the aid station area, once you coplete your distance please don't linger in the aid station area as other runners are still running trying to get in and out of the aid station. Relay Runners please do not wait for your team mate to finish their loop in the aid station area.There will also be water along the course at appoximately mile 1, mile 2.5 and mile 4.
NEW in 2025... 25K!!
New For 2025 is a 25K! Great for your friends or family who want to come out and run some miles and enjoy the race atmophere but not run too far. 25K registrered runners can not change/bump up distance like all other distances can.
Changing Distance
Any runner (except 25K) can run longer or shorter than their registered distance and will be a finisher for whatever distance they complete.
Beer
We are happy to have Lockport Brewery providing our beer once again this year. Each runner will recieve 2 free beers with their entry. Crew, Family, Freinds and Runners can purchase addition beer. We also have pint glasses with our Eagle Up Ultra logo on them for purchase.
Course
The course is a 5 mile loop starting in St Heleana park in Canal Fulton running south on the Ohio Erie Canal Towpath to Butterbridge Rd. then coming back on The Olde Muskingum Trail to the park wher you will run right though the camping area to complete the loop. All surfaces are packed crushed limestone except through the camping area which is short cut grass. Road shoes are fine for this race.
Event Schedule
Friday, June 6th
8:00a.m-- Park open to set up camp
3:00p.m-7:00pm-- Pre Race Packet Pickup at The main pavillion in the park
5:00pm-7:00pm-- Pre Race Dinner for Team RWB members
Saturday, June 7th
4:30am--packet pick up at start line (please if possible pick up bibs on Friday)
5:45 a.m-- Runners should be lined up for start for prerace instructions and National Anthem
6:00 a.m-- Race Starts!
6:00pm-9:00pm-- Band will preform!
Sunday June 2nd
6:00am-- Race Ends!
Crew
Crew is allowed to set up anywhere within St. Helena Park to aid their runners. No food for crew from the aid station. Lockport beer will be avalible for purchase.
Pacers
Pacers may join their runner at anytime after they’ve completed their 4th loop! Only one pacer at a time. Also, pacers ARE ALLOWED to utilize aid station food and drink While they are pacing. No pacer registration Required.
Awards
Finishing medals and buckles will be presented to the runners immediately upon completing their desired distance.
No age group awards, as we have decided to do something special for our Military Vets and those currently serving in place of age group awards.
Camping and RV's
The entire St. Helena Park is used for runners to camp! The camping is free and we won’t run out of spots!! We have limited space for Rv's and do our best to get eveyone in however once the spots are all full we can not take more RV's
Refunds/Deferals
No refunds will be given. However a runner may choose to defer with 100% credit to the following year for any reason up to 3 weeks prior to the race, you can do so on Ultrasignup.com , after that there will be no deferrals. Deferrals can only be carried over for one year.
Cupless
We are now a cupless race. What that means is that runners will have to carry thier own reusable cup for water, electrolye drink and soda. We will have cups for coffee and for warm soup/broth.
Relay Runners
Relay Teams goal is to hit 100 miles in 24 hours or less to recieve medals!! Relay teams may countine running to see how far they can go in the 24 hours. Relay members can run as many 5 mile loops they want at a time, and only one team member at a time is allowed to be running the course. There will be a designated Relay Team spot at the start/finish line where teammates can swap timing band. This will be the ONLY spot teammates can swap timing bands.
