Front Range Five Miler (+)

Pisgah Forest, NC

Pisgah Forest, NC 5.75 Miler

This Event Took Place Sun. Oct 16, 2022

Front Range Five Miler (+)

Short and steep, this course highlights the nature of classic Pisgah National Forest trails. Rugged rooty, rocky tread leads you through tunnels of green rhododendron and alongside rushing streams. On the 100% trail loop, you'll be greeted with two significant climbs and descents - over 1000' feet of climbing and the same descending over the course of 5.75 miles.

Who should participate?

A great race for beginners or seasoned trail runners alike.
Beginners will appreciate the short course with a pit stop just about halfway through and the sense of accomplishment in tackling these challenging trails. This course is very friendly for new trail runners that are itching to see some slightly technical trails in a supported setting.
Veteran runners will still find this course tough as the climbs are steep and the descents keep you on your toes - it's a great course for hitting some extra high heart rates and getting good threshold training in a fun environment.

KOM/QOM

We're thrilled to have Green Heart Juice sponsor our King and Queen of the Mountain prizes! Be the first one to top out the Grassy Creek climb (the first climb of the event) and receive a cash payout. Now the question is - do you give it everything for that moment of glory or reel it in to save up for the miles ahead?
