5th Annual Happy Hippie Harvest Run at Gilcrease Orchard
Beyond Limits Running is proud to announce the 5th Annual Happy Hippie Harvest Run will take place Saturday, November 4, 2023 at the iconic Gilcrease Orchard in fabulous Las Vegas. Happy hippie runners have an opportunity to run a 5K or 10K through this historic 90+ year-old orchard.
Runners will work-up a healthy hippie appetite as they run past apples, pears, peaches, cucumbers, sweet potato, squash, eggplant and of course the famous Gilcrease Orchard pumpkins. Since the 3.1 mile flat and fast course meanders through the entire vehicular-free 67-acre orchard, runners will have a chance to get their happy hippie on as they say hello to the resident chickens, tortoises, bees and owls. This is your chance to don your best hippie running attire and join your fellow hipsters as you run the 5th Annual Happy Hippie Harvest Run. Live Hippie music is played course-side and of course, like at all Beyond Limits Running races, professional finish-line photos, along with professional course race photos, are free.
Confidently Register Early with New 100% Refund Policy
Don't risk missing out on all the hippie fun with our new 100% refund policy. Take advantage of discounted early-bird pricing by registering early and with confidence before the race sells-out. Registration fees are fully refundable if canceled, for any reason, at least 60-days before the November 4, 2023 race. Why did we introduce a 100% Refund Policy? It's simple; we understand life changes and it's tough to commit far in advance for a race.
2023 Race Logistics and Course Details
The 10K race starts at 9:00 AM, followed by the 5K at 9:10 AM. The 5K runners gather pre-race under the massive covered picnic table area immediately adjacent to the starting chute during the 10K start. The 10-minute starting time spread between the two races allows for an enjoyable starting line experience for all. Both races are run within the vehicular-free Gilcrease Orchard (7800 N. Tenaya Way, Las Vegas, NV 89131) and the Orchard is closed to the public on race day. There is ample free parking located in the paved parking lot directly adjacent to the orchard entrance. The 3.1-mile race course is entirely contained within the orchard with 95% of the course run on very well paved asphalt paths that are 10-15 feet wide. Five percent of the course runs through the pumpkin patch on packed dirt. 5K runners run the full course one time, while 10K runners run the full course twice. Don’t let the happy hippie theme fool you! With an elevation gain/loss of just 20 feet per loop, this course is flat, fast and ideal for setting new PR’s at all distances. Visit BeyondLimitsRunning.com webpage to view video recaps from previous Happy Hippie Harvest Runs.
To ensure a quality race experience for all hippies and to protect the sanctity of this special orchard, the combined number of race participants will be capped. Since the race is run on wide paths with ample room to pass other runners, the race is walker and stroller friendly. To accommodate those happy hippies who want to take their time and really soak in the beauty of the orchard, the 5K race has a 90-minute cutoff, while the 10K race has a 2-hour cutoff. Porta-potties will be located at the start/finish line, as well as in the middle of the course. Water, electrolytes, bananas, oranges, along with miscellaneous snacks, will be available at the start/finish line. An additional hydration station will be placed in the middle of the 3.1-mile course.
Happy Hippie Harvest Run Goodies
Every Happy Hippie Harvest finisher will receive the most hipped-out medal ever designed, along with a famous Gilcrease Orchard granny smith apple dipped in caramel made from scratch, a Happy Hippie Harvest Run commemorative race-themed bumper sticker and of course hippie themed tattoos for all. Run Hippie Happy shirts are available for purchase during online registration. The reason our shirts are an optional purchase is because the shirts are high-end sublimated tech shirts which cost 4-times more than traditional screen-printed race shirts. Hippie themed awards will be presented to the top 3 male and female podium finishers in each race.
Happy Hippies Helping Support Gilcrease Orchard

Beyond Limits Running is a proud financial supporter of the Gilcrease Orchard Foundation. Thanks to strong runner support over the years, the Happy Hippie Harvest Run has generated meaningful financial support for the Orchard over the years.
