The core running season may be over but it’s not time to take it easy just yet. It's named The Guv'nor Frozen 50 for a reason. You not only have to take on Old Man Winter but "The Guv'nor" has quite a battle awaiting those who dare challenge her authority. With an average elevation profile of 136ft of accent per mile (across all distances), this relentless grind and unpredictable weather will challenge the mind, body and spirt. Aid Stations
There are 4 aid station locations (Cox hollow, Ranger Station, Horse Camp and Twin Valley). All aid stations will be stocked with traditional fare in addition to each one providing some unique offerings.
Drop Bags
50K only. There will be a drop bag tent at the Twin Valley aid station (Race HQ, mile 15.8).
Crew and Pacers
Pacers and crew are only allowed for the 50K. Crew can be at the Twin Valley aid station (Race HQ , Mile 15.8) and the Cox Hollow aid station (mile 27.1). You can pickup a pacer for the last leg from Cox Hollow to the finish.
Medical
EMS will be stationed at Race HQ. Sauk Prairie Healthcare will also have their athletic training team stationed at Race HQ and patrolling the course.

Route Markings:
All routes will be marked with orange pin flags, orange arrow signs and orange marking tape.
We will block off as many paths as possible that you should not go down or we will put pink "wrong way" signs if we have to keep them open.
We will have distance specific directional signs wherever there are splits in the course. Please read these carefully to ensure you stay on course.

Awards
Top 3 Male & Females in each distance and the top overall Non-Binary finisher in each distance will receive an award.
Age group positions will be listed on the results but there will be no age group awards. We like to do things a little differently and opt to keep entry fees reasonable and invest in the experiences throughout the event that everyone can enjoy.
Giveaway
All participants will receive a race specific swag item, finisher medal, and post race food.
Refund, Distance Switch, Bib Transfer
Refund Policy: Refund/Deferral
We will offer a 75% credit for all cancelled registrations 90+ days prior to race day. Once registered for a race within the 90 days, all registrations are final. We are unable to offer refunds, deferments, or rollovers to another year or event once you have signed up. As fellow runners, we understand that life happens, schedules change, and injuries/illnesses occur. However, race entries cover various operational expenses prior to race day, which is why we cannot offer deferrals or refunds.
Please consider this carefully before registering.
Transfer Policy:
•If you would like to transfer your registration to another individual, we can facilitate this process. However, arranging payment is the responsibility of the individuals involved.

Distance Change Policy:
•If you wish to "drop" to a shorter distance within your registered event, we can accommodate this change, but no refund will be provided for the difference in entry fee.
•If you wish to move "up" to a longer distance within your registered event, you may do so by paying the difference in price.

Weather/Event Cancellation Policy
Driftless Endurance events occur rain, shine, snow, cold or heat. It is only on rare occasions that weather conditions force a cancellation of our events.
However, when severe weather conditions cause significant damage or alterations to the course, if trails become impassable or inaccessible for emergency personnel, or if there is an undue safety risk to participants, staff, and volunteers, we reserve the right to cancel the event, shorten the event, and/or hold runners until the weather improves. We will utilize the National Weather Service, land managers, and emergency personnel to provide guidance on the situation. There will be no refunds given if an event is canceled due to the weather. All decisions are final.
Conditions that may result in an event being canceled or delayed include but are not limited to: extreme heat or cold, thunder & lightning, heavy snowfall, ice and freezing rain, tornadoes, flooding, fog, extreme wind, etc.
