Race Anytime Between November 24, 2022 and January 1, 2023
Run the Ha Ha Half Marathon virtual race anytime and anywhere! You have until January 1, 2023. Once done, submit your file on UltraSignup.
Soft and Comfortable Race Shirts
The Ha Ha Half shirts will feature the Ha Ha Half logo center/front side and the Fleet Feet Columbia logo on the right sleeve. These shirts are very comfortable. Check them out on the Ha Ha Half Facebook page.
Finisher's Awards
Every virtual finisher of the Ha Ha Half marathon will receive a finisher's award made by a local/regional artisan. Check out our Facebook page for additional details.
Race Rules
Every participant will be required to submit a file of their run. Your run must be at least 13.1 miles to receive a finisher's award–not 13.0 or less, but 13.1 or more. Please label your file Ha Ha Half Virtual Run. You can not use one file for multiple races. You can run on any type of surface (we encourage soft trails), but you must have at least 1000 feet of elevation gain. You are not allowed to run on treadmills or tracks (indoor or outdoor). Participants may submit files anytime from November 24, 2022 to January 1, 2023. Your run must have occurred during that time period. What a great way to end or start the year! Every paying participant will receive their race shirt even if they don't submit a file of their run.
Ha Ha Half History
In 2018, we held a free event at Ha Ha Tonka State park called the Ha Ha Half. You'll find pictures of that event on our Facebook page, @HaHaHalfMarathon. While that park allows free group runs, they don't allow paid, sanctioned runs. This led to the decision to move the race to Lake of the Ozarks State Park. As a result, Trail of Four Winds 25K made its debut in 2019–new race, new distance, new name. It was a sellout, and an absolute blast. For more details, look for Lake of the Ozarks Endurance Runs on our UltraSignup page.
2020 was the year of race cancellations, postponements and virtual runs. This led to the decision to bring back the Ha Ha Half as a virtual race from the get-go. We hope you find it a useful tool in your motivational toolbox to help inspire you to log some miles through the holidays. Perhaps run with a group of friends and log your race at the same time.
Be well, run strong.
