20k, 10k course descriptions
This event is the 2nd race in BQuickRunning's South Hills Annual Trail Series or "SHATS"), runners now can choose 20k or 10k.
Both distances are out-and-back courses starting at the Little Blackfoot Meadows trailhead, near Kading Campground. The 10k will turn around at the 2nd wooden bridge that crosses the creek. 20k runners start with 2 loops around the campground then head out on the Little Blackfoot trail and continue past that second bridge, then will turn onto the Bison Mtn trail for approximately 1 mile before reaching the 20k turnaround point. The Bison Mtn trail portion of the course is generally flat and lush along the beautiful Blackfoot Meadow.

BONUS for SHATS series finishers
Runners who complete three of the four BQR summer trail races are eligible for additional awards! The four events, known collectively as the South Hills Annual Trail Series or "SHATS," are:
(1) Thunderbolt Creek 30k or 12k on July 13, 2024 (either distance)
(2) Little Blackfoot 20k or 10k on July 27, 2024 (either distance)
(3) Dark Knight 5k on August 24, 2024
(4) Ridge Rumble 12k on Sept 8 2024
Series prizes will be awarded following the Ridge Rumble. There is always an element of humor to the series awards... Join the fun!
