First and foremost I want to thank all of you who signed up and thought this course was a cool idea. It was. I sincerely thank you from the bottom of my heart. I have issued refunds to everyone who registered and those are being processed now. If there are any problems you can still contact me at info@mtogdenmarathon.com and I will make sure you are taken care of! After the refunds are issued I will pull this page down completely.

Quickly: The reason for the cancellation is simple. It was brought to my attention a couple of days ago that a main part of the course crossed through a piece of private property. I had known there was private property in the area but I did not know they owned all of the way up to where the course would be coming through, and it turns out they own a significant amount up there. While all other permits for the race were going smoothly, my talk with the property owner ended with a denial to gain access. I want to be clear that IN NO WAY DO I HOLD ANY OF THIS AGAINST THEM. Private property is private property and I respect their decision fully. I want to also say that we here in Ogden are very lucky to have public access to the trails that are on their land I would in no way ever want to jeopardize our (the publics) free use of those trails. They are some of the best in the world and crucial to our community. Please know that in putting this together, it was my ignorance of where their property line ended, and well, you live and you learn. Again thank you for your support and understanding. to those who are receiving a refund, please reach out if you have questions or are having trouble getting your payment back. You are all wonderful.
