Event Description
The Methodist Mountain Ultra, is a one-of-a-kind race set on the beautiful Methodist Mountain trail system. We are excited to offer a race that is suitable for runners of all abilities. All participants will have a generous time cutoff so they can complete the race at their own pace. MMU takes place at the northern terminus of the Sangre De Cristo mountains, in the town of Salida, CO.
The race features a 50k and 30k, 81% of race is on single track trails with ~5500' of elevation gain for the 50k and ~3000' gain for the 30k. In the 50k, a majority of the climbing is in the first half of the race. The race has a generous cutoff for both distances of 5pm, so 10 hours for the 50k and 8 hours for the 30k. Aid stations are every 4-5 miles stocked with the normal ultra runner snacks.

Crews/Pacers/Drop bags
Crews are only allowed at the Spartan aid station due to inaccessibility of other locations.
Pacers for the 50k only can start at Spartan aid station, no pacers for the 30k. All pacers must check in with the aid station captain and sign a waiver.
Drop bags are only allowed for the 50k participants and will be at the Rainbow aid station, which you see twice.
Cutoffs
The 50k participants have 10 hours to complete the course, the 30k has an 8 hour limit. Specific cutoff information can be found on the website.
Finisher swag and goodies
All participants will receive a finisher award upon completion. Long sleeve T-shirts will be given out at packet pick-up.
