Welcome to Machete Trail Madness, home of the toughest Ultramarathons is California and why we allow the longest cut off times of probably any Ultras out there. Come challenge yourself, if you want an easy race this is not the place, but it is many people's favorite ultra. Join us for our 3rd annual Dia De Los Muertos (Day of the Dead) 100 Miler, 50 Miler and 10 Miler. We will honor our dead with a joyful and positive celebration in those beautiful Lake Perris trails. Our community is the best, friendly and supportive, where your family can go camping to support you and enjoy a weekend at the Lake.

Course: 10 Mile+ Loop with 2,300 feet of elevation gain per lap, it's a tough course, it is Machete Trail Madness after all. Beautiful views of the lake and surrounding areas make up for the Funishment. 10 Laps for 100 Miler and 5 laps for the 50 Miler, 1 lap for 10 Milers. All races start on Friday October 31, 2025 at 6:30 PM, those doing the 10 Miler do not have to camp but are welcome to join us.

Cut off times: 48 Hours for 100 Miler and 20 Hours for 50 Milers
The Machete Madness Experience: This is a unique experience as it is more of a mental challenge, but you get to interact more with other runners since you are doing laps and running with each other, definitely a more interactive experience as you get to encourage and push each other to the finish line, your family and friends also gets to see you more often and you can pack lighter as you will have the chance to reload your nutrition and hydration at each lap you complete since the race course loops around into the Campgroup every lap, we will also have another aid station on mile 5 besides the one at the starting line.

Camping: Campground will be available Thursday after 2:00 PM, checkout Sunday at noon. Come and enjoy the beautiful views of the Lake and surrounding mountains. Those doing 50 Miler and 100 Miler will need to camp, you can bring family and friends, pacers. This is Group Tent Campground, no trailers or hookups.

Parking: $10 at the entrance of the Lake.

By far the most bang for your buck of any race out there, the Machete Madness Experience, not just a race. The vision we have for our events is for people to make this the full Machete Madness experience, not just a race to show up and leave in a rush. We live a life that's always on the go, take a moment to smell the Roses.
