No Bull Around

Meadow Grove, NE 48hrs, 24hrs, 12hrs, 6hrs

Registration closes: Tue, Apr 22 @ 11:59PM CT

Location

A cow pasture in BFE Nebraska. The actual address is 54251 844th Road, Meadow Grove, NE (just in case it doesn’t come up, the coordinates are 42.061398, -97.669707).

From Meadow Grove, Nebraska you will turn north off Highway 275 and drive 2 miles, then turn east. You will drive about 3.5 miles and the road turns into the driveway of the location. Turn left after the barn into the parking area.

Course

The course will be mowed pasture. While it is not technical, it does have rolling hills and the ground will be soft and uneven. At times, you will be running next to worn paths used by various animals; you are welcome to run in these, but be aware, as they are often narrow and the course will deviate from them eventually. Participants will run the same 2.5 mile loop as many times as possible in the race they choose.

Lodging

Meadow Grove, NE is about 5 miles from the course and has a gas station, bar, and not much else. Tilden, NE is about 11 miles from the course and has a local restaurant, a couple bars, gas stations, and a motel. Battle Creek, NE is about 14 miles away and has some local restaurants and gas stations as well. The closest hotel is in Norfolk, NE (about 20 miles) and there are a plethora of restaurants available here. There are camping (with camper hookup) and shower facilities available at Willow Creek State Recreation Area (54876 852 Rd., Pierce, NE), roughly 15 miles away. You will need to purchase a park pass to use these facilities ($14/day) and we recommend you make a reservation online if you plan to camp here.

Swag & Award

Awards will be given to the top male and female in each category. There will be no cash prizes, but you will receive a custom buckle shelf made by Midwest Mediocre.

Swag includes a Beast Trail Racing speed cup, race-specific shirt, distance specific medals/buckles, Beast Trail Racing sunglasses, and a sunshade tent. Anyone reaching a distance of a half-marathon or marathon will receive a medal identifying these distances. We will have buckles for 50k, 50 miles, 100k, 100 miles, and 150 miles.
