LH Training Run #1

A1 Ultra Events is happy to host the 1st official training run for the 2025 LH100. The course will be well-marked. Plan to run a loop (16.8 miles) or more!

Reminder: There is a $3 per person or $4 per vehicle fee to enter Colt Creek State Park.

Event Start

The training run will start at the Middle Lake Day Use pavilion. This is NOT the S/F for the race - it is Parking Area A. The first wave of runners will start at 8:30 am sharp. You may start anytime, but 8:30 am will be the official kick-off of the training run. There are bathrooms there and we will also have water jugs available. There is also ample parking here.

Directions to start:
Once you go through the guard's gate take the first right (just a few feet past the gate) and go through the small parking lot and down the shell road.

On Course Aid

There will be water at the run start: miles 0 and 16.8 (Parking Area A), at the group camp hub: miles 4 and 9 (Parking Area B), and at the hard right at about miles 13, and 15.5. (On the way to and from AS2 during the race) All of these will be unstaffed stations, with water only. Do you want food and electrolytes? Bring them! Plan to leave your drop bags/coolers in your vehicle. Since the park is open to the public, you will probably want to keep everything secure.

You do not have to be registered for the Long Haul 100 to participate in the training run.
