CT Donut Run

83 North Turnpike Rd

Wallingford, CT 31.5 Miler

This Event Took Place Sat. Oct 4, 2025

NEW FORMAT

The course is an out-and-back from Neil's in Wallingford to Neil's in Middletown, almost entirely along beautiful country roads. Yes, we will stop at Lyman Orchards for apple cider donuts, only on the way back. Here's the most important thing: it's not a real race, and it goes without saying but you must cover the ~30 miles in under 8 hours (16:00/mile pace). PLEASE sign up for "shits and giggles" and Instagram cred (this year is the easier, softer way...) because let's face it real ultrarunners are insufferable! Have you been around any lately? For F's sake no one wants to talk about running. We want sexy pace and shit talking.

Okay, that's basically the disclaimer. Our main goal is that we are trying to raise a lot of money for cancer research.

Here is a link to our fundraising page: American Cancer Society

I made the run way cheaper this year because- #1 no shuttle bus and #2 just donate more money instead and #3 I'm buying all your donuts. <3

The Cause

What's good fam? Me and my dude Bill Odendahl are hosting an amazing fundraising event for the American Cancer Society and we need your support! The American Cancer Society’s mission is to save lives, celebrate lives, and lead the fight for a world without cancer.

We're raising funds to to help improve the lives of people affected by cancer. We'd love your support as we bring our fundraising vision to life. Please support us today.

On a deeply personal level, both me and Billy have been affected by cancer. Bill lost his mother to cervical cancer and his brother to acute lymphoblastic leukemia; and I lost my mother to hepatocellular carcinoma of the liver. I'm sure you also know someone that has died from cancer.

This year alone, more than 600,000 Americans will die of cancer. That’s more than 1,600 people per day in the United States. That’s why, with our 1.5 million supporters, we are taking action. The money we raise through this fundraiser will help fund and provide the critical programs and services that people count on every day.

Thank you for your support! Together we can make a difference.

The Run

We start at 6 am sharp at Neil's in Wallingford. You eat your donut, you start running. Seriously, we are all gone from there at like 6:03 am. On to stop #2, the "other" Neil's in Middletown. Then it's on to stop #3, Lyman Orchards Farm Market in Middlefield. Then back to stop #4, Neil's AGAIN before they close at 2 pm. They make a Samoa donut, it's sooooo bomb. But don't worry, there will be a lot of stopping for random selfies and whatever you kids are getting up to with the TikTok nowadays. Yeah I'm sure we'll stop at a random gas station for Slim Jim's and someone had to throw up (happens every year, this year it could be YOU!) or you might to drop a deuce at Big Y or whatever

This is a 16 minute per mile pace that needs to be held overall. More like a 15:00 pace with the stoppy stops, better make it 14, we freaking stop a lot.

Listen, I'm going level with you. Ultras are hard, so very hard... but this is not. The eating is the hard part.

Come support us if you want to be a part of this race- I have volunteer opportunities. They might just be you driving around to bring us water, if you're into that shit.

Parking

We will park nearby at the Yalesville Little League Field (30 Parker Farms Rd, Wallingford, CT 06492) it's about an 8 minute walk (.4 miles). Here's the Google Maps link: Parking

Swag

Some handmade finisher's award, some random tchotchke and amazing memories! But this is seriously not a race. The winner will be automatically DQ'd at the finish line. I'm watching you... but please watch Thomas Tan's Awesome video of the run last year: Thomas Tan Ultra
