Cutoff time is 10 hours

The route is point to point entirely on the Florida Trail going northbound. The course will not be marked. You MUST know how to navigate on the Florida Trail. Instructions and details on navigating the Florida Trail will be sent out prior to the run.

Since this is a free event the registration is capped at 50 runners maximum. You cannot join this run if you do not sign up officially and sign the waiver.

There will be two water drop locations at mile 10 and mile 21 where crew is also allowed. Water drops will NOT have food or snacks of any kind, so packing all of your food to carry for the run is essential.

Every runner is required to carry a water filter (and have knowledge on how to use it), minimum one liter water capacity, an orange hunters vest, and whistle (comes on most running packs). If you do not have a crew, you must carry a minimum of 1,000 calories on you.

Course Description

This route is incredibly scenic, starting with the first 20 miles going through pine flat woods in Osceola National Forest. After you pass the Deep Creek trailhead, you spend a few miles on road before hitting the single track again. Once you get back on the trail, the remainder of this run meanders along the Suwannee River. You pass by big shoals and little shoals before hitting highway 41 where you finish across the street at the boat ramp. It is absolutely breath takingly gorgeous!

Depending on rainfall the first half of this route can be very wet so please plan and prepare accordingly. The last 12 miles gets very technical and a little more hilly while along the river.

Bring a friend to run/walk with! This makes coordinating rides from the start/finish much easier if you already have it planned out with a buddy.

Not a race

Please remember that this is not a competitive race, its a group fun run! There are no medals or awards given out to anyone who finishes. You can run this in as fast or as slow as you like as long as it is within the ten hours given to complete the distance. If you are not confident in your ability to finish this distance in that time period then please do not become a liability and do not sign up.

Since this is a FREE large organized group run, do not sign up if you are not planning to join. If you sign up and decide to "no show" without cancelling or giving a notice, you will not be allowed to run this with us in future years. We would like to know the accurate amount of people that plan to show up! Thanks!

Join for the weekend camping fun!

A small group of us will be spending the weekend camping at Stephen Foster Folk Culture Center State Park in White Springs, just five minutes away from the finish location. Would love for more to join in for the fun after an epic day in the woods!
