>We hope to have even more free group runs from Jax to Tally and down to Gainesville.
All details below. This is a fun and laid back. It's old school style. No frills. Nothing for sale. No photos etc.
Difficulty = 1 out of 5 for anyone who doesn't live in Florida and maybe a 2 out of 5 if you live in Florida. Some roots and minimal hills.
The 25K will consist of one loop and the 50 K will be two loops. (for 2025 the 50k will be single loop)
Course markings:
The trail will be flagged and marked at turns.
Aid stations:
We will have a water drop approximately 10 miles into each loop as well as an aid station 6.5 into each loop.
At the start finish we will have a small aid station as well. All aid stations will be self serve and unmanned.
For the 2025 edition of this race, we will make it a single loop 50 K.and the single loop 25K. However, currently one of the bridges is washed out and it would require another aid station for this year. We want to keep it simple.
This is a no-frills race. Meaning no awards, no swag, no photographers, etc. etc.. unless someone wants to donate these or their time.
The course:
The course is a mixture of single track mountain bike trails (60%), the single track Florida Trail 25% and dirt road 15%.
We have designed this course to be fun, scenic and safe. You will get your feet wet once per loop when you cross falling creek.
cal topo says it’s 350 ft gain per loop with the same loss. Sounds about right. It’s a pretty fast course.
We will limit the event to 75 people for 2024.
Crew access:
We have 3 spots per loop they can see you. At the start finish, mile 6.5 and miles 10 ish. The mile 6.5 aid station is literally across the street via a 2 minute walk or 10 second car ride.
Mike 10 water drop is a 5 minute drive.
Where to stay:
Highly recommend staying at Stephen Foster Folk Culture Center State Park, Airbnb in White Springs, one of the many RV / campgrounds in the area or Lake City has a ton of places to stay!
Weather:
Could be in the 30s and get into the 70s. But likely perfect running weather.
Food:
We will have water, maybe gatorade and some small snacks at the aid station. IF you want anything else bring it and put it in your drop bag. This is so low key its not funny.
Rules:
For this year’s events, the cut off to start the second loop is 4.5 hours. Meaning you must LEAVE the start finish for loop 2 prior to 4.5 hours in.
No cutting the course
No breaking the law (duh!)
IF you sign up for the 50k and drop mid race to the 25k this is a DNF. You can drop down or move up until 2 weeks proper to the race date. Message us.
IF you can’t show up, park, leave a drop bag or not at the start of each loop, get water every 6 miles or so, follow signs and flags and finish smiling then maybe this race is not for you. But we still love you.
If you drop out during the run you need to be able to get back to the start finish area aka no one is coming to get ya unless you got a crew.

We invite you to come for the weekend not just the run. This is about fellowship and community.
