Race Information

Welcome to Cupid’s Gauntlet, the trail race where love, grit, and sneakers collide! This isn’t your typical stroll through the woods—this is an adventure designed to test your endurance, your sense of humor, and the opportunity to make a love connection with some rocks.

The race is held at Dana Peak Park, located on the north shore of Stillhouse Hollow lake in Harker Heights Texas, approximately one hour from both Waco and Austin, Texas.

The trails ascend and descend the rocky terrain that hugs Stillhouse Hollow lake. While most of the trail system is in the trees there are some areas that are exposed. Throughout the race runners will climb several of the peaks along the shore catching incredible views of the lake during their journey along the course.

This race is similar to the Dana Peak Trail Run held in the fall, but we keep to the trails with the most climb!

IMPORTANT: All runners must cary a hydration device (i.e. Water Bottle or Hydration Bladder) to participate in the race.

We are still building a website for this event. In the meantime, use the website for the Dana Peak Trail Run for location details. The course for the 20K (which is actually 13 miles) is the course that most closely matches the loop. The 10K course will be the same.: http://blazetrails.com/dana-peak

The cutoff for the 60K will be 14 hours.

Park Information

The park is closed for the season, but they allow us to open to our runners and volunteers. Entry is $5/car, and we recommend people carpool.

Car and tent camping will be allowed, primitive only.
