SUMMARY
Last Supper 100k was started when some runners wanted to embark on a 100k distance to end the year with a BANG!...And that’s just what we’ll do! We also realized maybe a 100k run all at once may be a little much for some runners (especially during the holidays) so we’re giving the option for runners to join in relay teams. Relay teams will be capped at 10 runners per team. This allows runners to get involved and still be able to participate in a 100k!
Last Supper 100k will start at beautiful Horseshoe Lake, in Roxbury, NJ. We'll be exploring a variety of trails and roads throughout the towns of Roxbury, Flanders, Mount Olive, Budd Lake, Hackettstown, Byram, Hopatcong, Jefferson, Mount Arlington and then arrive back in Roxbury. We will start running at 7am SHARP so get to the event start with some time to gather yourself! We understand that the weather might be a little crazy so we want to make sure that you're aware that this event will go on SNOW, RAIN or SHINE.
Some of the most interesting points of this route will be running through some trails in Stephen's State Park, Lake Hopatcong Trails, Dickerson Mine Preserve and more! There's going to be some beautiful views of Lake Hopatcong, Cranberry Lake and Budd Lake!
COURSE
LAST SUPPER 100K COURSE MAP
You can find the official course in the above link. There will be aid stations every 10k and we will place as much signage as possible for racers. It is strongly urged that all racers have this map up while they are racing so they don't get lost. The trails aren't very technical but there are some points that are pretty rocky and riddled with roots you'll have to skip around. The entire route is about 70% roads and about 30% trail.
SAFETY AND TRACKING
Because we don't have chip time and trackers we'll be tracking the old fashion way and we'll give you or your relay team members a flag for each aid station. Every group MUST check in with an aid station volunteer in order for you to get credit that you/your team made it through that section. We also do this so we can make sure everyone is accounted for and is SAFE.
WHAT THE HELL DO I BRING?
Weather you're running alone or on a team I strongly urge everyone to bring:
-Hydration Pack/Camelbak
-Snackies/Gels
-Reflective vest, headlamp/flashlight & GPS (phone good enough) (REQUIRED)
-Clothes that make sense when running outside in the winter (use common sense dummy)
-Good energy and support for team and others!
WHAT DO I GET?
Everyone that participates that starts and finished will get a finisher medal and a banana.
First place solo finisher and first place relay team (all members) will get a trophy with "Last Supper 100K 1st Place" engraved on it.
Event's current local time: 6:40 AM ET
