Description
We are natives to PA, we believe that the PA Wilds are just as special as all the other places in this beautiful country that just get more attention, and we want to share that with our trail running community. From the Donut Hole Trail southern terminus to the Susquehannock Trail northern gateway, this region offers classic “Rocksylvania” terrain that challenges even the most resilient trail runners. But our mission of raising awareness and funds for the Warrior Trail Foundation is first and foremost in our hearts, and the community that is growing around our movement is the keystone of our work. To learn more about what we do and why we do it, please visit our foundation page at the Warrior Trail Foundation. Thank you for your support!

Susquehannock Trail Ultra - New for 2026! 5/16/26, 8 am start
Distance: 83 miles
Elevation Gain: 14000+ ft
Cutoff: 36 hours (Intermediate cutoff at 41.5 miles is 18 hours)
Terrain: Over 90% single-track on some of PA’s best maintained trails. Eight fully stocked aid stations at approximately 8-12 miles depending on the direction of travel.
Race rules:
1. All participants must provide evidence of the 4-hour trail work or pay the $20 trail work fee. This trail work can be accomplished anywhere but preference would be to the Susquehannock Trail, the Donut Hole Trail or another PA Trail. A trail work day will be coordinated in advance of the race date. Failure to fulfill this requirement by 5/1 will result in being removed from the race with no refund.
2. The course follows the STS which is very well marked and maintained, therefore no course marking will be provided. All runners must show that the course downloaded and know how to use the course navigation features on their phone, watch or other electronic device or a map and compass with knowledge to use it for navigation.
3. Crew and pacers are allowed, as are hiking poles. Pacers are allowed for full segments starting at the halfway checkpoint, and must report in to the aid station before leaving and when arriving each aid station. Pacers must sign a waiver and hold-harmless agreement to receive a pacing bib. No muling or propelling the runner. Pacers are there for safety and companionship only. Pacers are welcome to our aid station supplies when moving through an aid station. We kindly ask that they avoid taking from the station before and after their duty. This ensures we have adequate supplies for our runners. Nothing worse than arriving to an aid station without food, trust us, we know!
4. We love pets, but all pets must be kept on-leash at all times. This is for the protection of your pet, our runners and volunteers. This is non-negotiable and could result in a disqualification of you or your runner.
5. We are guests of the state parks and forrest, please respect the rules for both, clean up after yourself, leave no trace and abide by the alcohol restrictions unless otherwise permitted. The future of this event and all other trail running events in PA rests on your shoulders.
6. Treat all others with kindness and respect. We have no room in this community for any behavior to the contrary. Our goal is to have a fun, light-hearted experience, and with no prize money at stake, none of us should take this too seriously! In summary, don’t be the story!
7. The time cutoff is 36 hours for an official finish. Official finishers will receive a custom buckle. Sub-24-hour finishers will receive a special surprise. For the record and to our knowledge, it’s never been done! Unofficial finishers will receive a challenge coin and a free entry to try again in the following year.
