Debuting alongside the 14th Annual Cauldron Adventure Race, this inaugural trail running event arrives just in time for Halloween, inviting runners to test their grit on hauntingly scenic trails through Ocala. Wind beneath canopies of moss-draped trees, navigate twisting paths, and embrace the eerie energy that defines this unforgettable course. Whether you conquer the full marathon or brave the half, expect unexpected thrills, spirited spectators, and a blazing finish worthy of its name. Dare to enter The Cauldron!

The full marathon begins at 2:00 pm, with the half marathon following at 4:00 pm—perfectly timed as dusk begins to fall over Ocala. As twilight settles in, the energy intensifies and the legends of The Cauldron come alive. Every participant will earn a uniquely crafted finisher medal worthy of the Halloween season, along with the bragging rights that come from conquering one of fall’s most unforgettable endurance challenges. Gather your coven, lace up your shoes, and kick off the spooky season with miles of magic, mischief, and unforgettable fun.

Marathon Start: 2:00pm, Sat.
Half Marathon Start: 4:00pm, Sat.
Race Cut-Off (Both Races): 9:00pm, Sat.

All finishers will receive an amazing medal and a t-shirt.

Top 3 awards in each class below for each race:
• Overall Men - 1st in 50K receives a free entry to next year's event.
• Overall Women - 1st in 50K receives a free entry to next year's event.
• Masters Men (40-59)
• Masters Women (40-59)
• Grand Masters Men (60 and over)
• Grand Masters Women (60 and over)

Racers must be present to receive awards.

Rules

No cutting of the designed course. All flags must be punched to receive credit for the entire course. Details in pre-race email. Listen and follow all instructions from race staff and medical personnel during the race. Be courteous to other runners and day hikers. You may only receive the aid within 100 feet of an aid station that allows crew access. No littering. Take in, take out. Trekking poles are allowed. The race director has the sole discretion of the administration of any violations of the race rules ranging from a time penalty up to and including disqualification.

Are pacers allowed?
No pacers are allowed for this event. However, support crews may provide assistance at the finish area.

Need to Know

Waivers: Each runner must print and sign this waiver and bring it to the check-in.

Refunds, Cancellations and Transfers: We understand things happen. No refunds will be issued. However, you may transfer your entry to another racer in the same event without a penalty until 7 days before the event. You are responsible for finding a person interested in buying your entry as well as working out payment with them. Entries do not transfer to other events nor do they transfer year to year.
