24HR "The Grind"

The inaugural Machete Trail Madness 24HR Race! Starting Friday, January 29, at 7 p.m., you’ll run under the stars on a relentless 4-mile+ loop; again, and again. Run solo or gather your team of 4, any mix, male, female, co-ed. Don’t wait! Be part of the beginning, plan your team, and earn that sunrise!

MUST register by 12/24/2026 to ensure you receive medal/buckle and participant shirt, the race will likely sellout well before that.

Race Details

Stay or Break, featuring Molcajete 1.0 Loop (4 miles +) run it as many times as your dare in 24 hours, the ultimate vertical challenge. 24HR "The Grind" is not about distance, it’s about what’s left when everything starts to hurt. This is a 4 mile+ Molcajete 1.0 loop that doesn’t care how you feel, how prepared you are, or how many laps you’ve already done. Every lap, you face Molcajete 1.0. You’ll climb it fresh. You’ll climb it tired. You’ll climb it in the dark. You’ll climb it when your body says stop.

Team Option

Build your team of four, no matter the mix, male, female, or co-ed. Each runner will be assigned a number; 1, 2, 3, and 4 and you’ll cycle through them in that exact order, lap after lap. No skipping, no repeating, just pure teamwork as you grind through the night. There’s no hiding out here. No distractions. Just you, your thoughts, and the decision you’ll have to make when it gets hard: Stay… or break. You’ll earn the sunrise. And then you’ll keep going. CAPITAN of the team will need to register all members of the team, one registration.

Top 3 individuals (men & women) and top 3 teams will receive awards.

Directions to Group Picnic C

Location to Group Picnic, make sure you drive in from the Morene Valley entrance and not via Ramona Express Way. Group Picnic C is where the group campground is located, same as the start line and transition area.
