Welcome to River Falls!

Set in the heart of Bend, the River Falls 10K and 5K takes runners along the iconic Deschutes River Trail through some of the most scenic stretches of Central Oregon. This is the first trail race to utilize the Central Oregon Historic Canal Trail while also connecting the west and east sides of the river, creating a fun and dynamic course experience from start to finish.

Both races begin and end at Riverbend Park, cruising along the wider, flowing trail on the west side before crossing the footbridge roughly 1.5 miles upstream. The 10K continues onto the Central Oregon Historic Canal Trail, featuring fast, runnable terrain before reconnecting with the east side trail, where runners will encounter narrower, rockier sections along the river.

Refunds

There are no transfers to other runners. No exceptions. Runners who must cancel their registration more than 30 days prior to the race can opt for a 50% credit toward the same event the following year. If your cancellation is 30 days or less from your race day, there is no credit, no refund, no transfer. No exceptions. Please do not ask us to break our policy. In the event Alpine Running is forced to cancel a race for any reason and the event can not be feasibly rescheduled, refunds/race credits/rollovers will not be given. This includes, but not limited to, COVID-19, wildfires, air quality, natural disasters, permitting agency closures, etc.

Rest assured, your registration fee will be supporting a great race beneficiary.

Protect Your Entry with Refund Guarantee

Life happens. Training injuries, family emergencies, work conflicts - things come up. Refund Guarantee from SPOT gives you a way out if you can't make it to the an Alpine Running event.

Here's how it works: You add coverage at checkout for a small fee. If something covered happens and you can't race, you file a claim directly with SPOT and get your entry fee back. The race keeps your registration either way, and SPOT handles the refund. No back and forth with the race director.

If you withdraw to receive your 50% credit to next year's race, refund guarantee cannot be used. It is one or the other - not both.

Important:Refund Guarantee doesn't cover event cancellations or postponements. As stated in the waiver, entry fees are non-refundable if the event is cancelled. Refund Guarantee only covers you personally not being able to participate.
