The Long Watch

While the world sleeps, we run the watch.

Long before streetlights and glowing screens, there were those who stood watch through the darkness. Through any adversity they remained at their post while others rested safely behind them.

The Long Watch is a tribute to those quiet hours.

Hosted at Donald Farm in Woodland, Washington, Long Watch takes place alongside the Warrior Expo—a competition of Strongman, Highland Games, and battles in medieval suits of armor. A multi-day event bringing together athletes, vendors, and spectators from across the Pacific Northwest.

A manned aid station stocked with enough snacks and support to get you through the daylight, darkness, and quiet hours in between, while you cover as many miles as possible on a 1-mile loop during a 6-hour, 12-hour, or 24-hour format.

The course winds throughout the Warrior Expo grounds, carrying runners past feats of strength, competitions of wood and steel, vendors of tasty treats, and the ever-changing energy of the event. As the day unfolds, you’ll share the energetic vibes with spectators, athletes, and supporters before settling into the quieter rhythm that arrives after dark. What begins as a bustling festival atmosphere gradually transforms into the solitary challenge that defines endurance running.

How long will you stay on watch?

Whether you’re chasing your first ultra distance or your first overnight effort, Long Watch welcomes all who are willing to stand their post.

Because somewhere after midnight, when the crowds have gone home and the world has fallen quiet, the miles become honest.

The Long Watch isn’t about conquering the course.

It’s about refusing to abandon it.

Join us at the Warrior Expo.

Take your place.

Stand the watch.
