Race

This race will take you through the city of Buffalo and crossing in Cheektowaga. You will run multiple times around the park and return to the finish at 308. The surrounding surface is city the city streets of Buffalo, sidewalks and the asphalt surrounding the park. You will pass several mini markets to restock your supplies and we will have two aid stations. One in the park and one at the start/finish line. This race is not for your first road race as you are responsible for your own fuel once you leave the 1st aid station until 12 miles later once you reach the park. All markers will be a bright neon green large cones plus you will be given a lamented map for cross checking. You will are required to carry a flash light or headlamp during the night hours and reflective gear is highly advised. The streets are open to traffic and there are spots where you must run on the sidewalks as there are no bike lanes. It’s a straightforward course and not too much chance of getting lost.

Time limits

All races have a 36 hour cut off. We start at 4am but if you choose to sleep in then you’ll have the remaining time left on the clock to complete your desired distance. There is no DNF. If you do not teach your distance you signed up for then you’ll be matched to the closest distance you have achieved. GPS watch is highly recommended but not mandatory.

Awards and Swag

All 100M finishes receive a brass buckle also all entries receive swag bags and awards are given to 1st 2nd and 3rd place overall in each distance. If you drop down in distance you’ll not be eligible for a top award but you will receive an official finish. You can also upgrade your distance just pay the difference in price. Race is non refundable but you can transfer to another Hotlotsofkids race and or another runner all the way until 15 days before the race but again NO REFUNDABLE distances as this race serves as a fundraising event for the homeless community.
