The Wildmere Mile
Wildmere Mile is a last-runner-standing race built around one simple idea:
One mile. Again and again. Until only one runner is left.
Set on Wildmere Farm in the hills of southern Indiana, this isn't meant to feel like another race on the calendar. We’re building a day around running, competition, community, music, food, and the kind of atmosphere that makes you want to stick around long after your own race is over.
Come ready to run hard, hang out, and see how long you can stay in the game.
The Challenge
The concept is simple. The execution won't be.
Runners will take on the Wildmere Mile course repeatedly as the event progresses. Stay within the required time, get back to the start, and earn the right to go again.
As the day goes on, the field gets smaller.
Eventually, there will be one runner left.
One mile can feel pretty short. Until you've done it over and over and over again.
Full race format, timing rules, and elimination details will be published before race day.
The Course
The Wildmere Mile takes place entirely on the grounds of Wildmere Farm near Gosport, Indiana.
And yes — there's a hill.
The course is being designed to make the most of the farm's terrain, including the signature hillside that will become a major part of the Wildmere Mile experience.
Expect a course that is simple enough to learn quickly, challenging enough to matter late in the day, and spectator-friendly enough that friends and family can actually watch the race unfold.
You'll know every turn.
You'll probably learn to hate a few of them.
More Than a Race
We want Wildmere Mile to feel just as good for the people watching as it does for the people running.
Expect a full day at the farm with runners, crews, families, local food, music, and a start/finish area where everyone can watch the race develop.
As the field gets smaller, the energy gets bigger.
Stay for your friends. Stay for the final runners. Stay to see who is still standing when everyone else is done.
Our goal is to create something genuine, a little weird, a lot of fun, and unlike anything else in Indiana.
