Overview

The Route 40 Romp is a 116 mile excursion across the Florida peninsulas starting at 7:00 AM on March 20,2021 at a boat launch on the Gulf West of Yankeetown, and finishing on the beach, in Ormond Beach. It includes the entire 97.1 miles of Route 40 with County Road 40 making up the bulk of the rest. So you can dip your toes in the Gulf to start and in the Atlantic Ocean to finish. Crews are highly recommended as there are no aid stations and store are few and far between. If you desire to run it unaided I will request supporting info showing that you have experience running long distances unsupported. This is a free even as are all OSU races. There will be finishers awards as long as supplies last and finishers will have the option to purchase a hand made finishers buckle after the fact if desired .
