Shoreline Shuffle
The Lawrence Trail Hawks are hosting the annual Shoreline Shuffle with 5K and 10K options! This race starts at Campground Prairie Clover (formerly known as Campground 1) near the western stair case and features our beautiful North Shore trails of Clinton Lake. Come run, walk or hike the trails for either the 5K or 10K option. All proceeds will go toward the Lawrence Community Shelter, the only year-round emergency homeless shelter serving Lawrence and Douglas County in Kansas.
Inclusivity Policy
The Shoreline Shuffle recognizes the diversity of athletes, and celebrates the differences that make us unique. It is important that athletes feel comfortable within the space of our event and that we promote the participation of all people, but especially those with a history of marginalized identities. All athletes have the right to participate fully in this event free from discrimination.
In order to participate in the Shoreline Shuffle, you must be able to respect the identity of runners in regards to race, gender identity, physical ability, age, and body type.
Any discriminatory language and behavior should be brought to the attention of the race directors as soon as it is safe to do so. Anyone found speaking or behaving in a manner that diminishes the ability for fellow athletes to participate in a safe, comfortable, and inclusive environment will be disqualified from the event and risks being banned from future events.
Finisher Awards
All athletes who complete their registered event will receive a finish time and a distance-specific finisher award. There will be no overall, age-group or gender-specific awards.
