Brokenagan BYU
Welcome to the Brokenagan Backyard Ultra located at Silver Star Mountain Provincial Park.
Join us at 5,500 feet to run 4.17 mile, one hour maximum loops through wild flowers, forest, and marsh land as you pass a beautiful mountain lake all on the world class cross country ski trails at Sovereign Lake Nordic Club.
The Backyard ultra is a fun event that any ability can do, even if your goal is a few loops. Come a test out your training, challenge your friends and family to a loop off, or give it all you’ve got to be the last runner standing!
We have a large staging area with plenty of room for you to set up your support and aid tents.
The Okanagan Valley is a wonderful location, with lots of opportunities for friends and families of athletes to enjoy while you are racing.
Make a holiday weekend of your event and enjoy Silver Star Mountain Park.
This park boasts many mountain bike and hiking trails to enjoy or perhaps take a drive 2km further up the road to Silver Star Mountain Resort.

Participants must be 19 years of age or older on race day, or obtain permission from race director for minors
You must be registered by June 22nd to be guaranteed a your T-shirt size

Race Description
The Brokenagan Backyard Ultra will be held in the Stunning Silver Star Provincial Park.
The course is a 4.17 mile loop that leads you through a fragrant forest, past a mountain lake, alpine flowers and the lush greenery the surrounds the Nordic ski trails of Sovereign Lakes Nordic Center.
A Backyard Ultra is a great way to not only challenge yourself, but to bring the running community together in a fun short course event.
The Backyard Ultra is designed to accommodate any level of runner giving you the opportunity to reach goals you previously thought impossible!
Course:
One continues loop
4 miles in length
Double track and Single track
Some hard pack
Some grassy
Winner:
The winner is the last person to complete a loop
All others are technically DNF
Results of each runner in terms of distance will be given.
If no runner can complete one more loop than anyone else, there is no winner.
