IN-PERSON RACE
REGISTRATION TABLE OPEN AT 8AM. RACE BEGINS AT 9AM.
Registration ends June 16, 2023
Support North County Land Trust (NCLT) by participating in the 4th Rock & Laurel 5K Trail Race. We invite you to join us as you start out at the site of our event host, the Applewild School (Fitchburg Campus), and wind your way through the scenic trails lined with mountain laurel in bloom on this 5k trail race/walk to benefit NCLT. Proceeds support NCLT’s conservation efforts in north central MA.
Located on Flat Rock Road in Fitchburg, MA, the 150-acre Crocker Conservation Area offers a gateway to over 2,500 acres of protected land, abutting the Audubon Flat Rock Wildlife Sanctuary and over 2,000 acres of watershed land owned by the City of Fitchburg. The central feature of the Crocker Conservation Area is the beautiful Overlook Reservoir. The relatively flat trails around its perimeter provides a favorite loop for many people.
North County Land Trust is a non-profit that is committed to protecting the natural resources in north central Massachusetts for over 30 years. As a regional resource, we work to conserve land for the health and well-being of our citizens, manage natural resources and wildlife, and preserve the sustainability of our planet. All funds raised will go directly to supporting land protection projects, management of our more than 1,500 acres of land and miles of public trails, and offering nature-based programming in north central MA. Race begins at 9am. Registration and parking available starting at 8am. This is a rain or shine event. No refunds.
Virtual Race
In addition to in-person participation, NCLT is again offering a virtual race option.
Virtual races allow participants to choose when and where they will accept the 5k challenge! You can create your own route based on where you feel the most comfortable - trails, roads, or even treadmill.
Interested in seeing more of NCLT's properties? Create your own 5k at any of NCLT’s different conservation areas where you’ll see the diverse beauty of north central Massachusetts including plenty of rocks and mountain laurel in June.
Once registered, your results will be entered through self-reporting on Ultrasignup (see the "Record Results" button up top). You can do that via this website or through reminder emails that will be sent out periodically. The deadline for reporting your results is 11:59pm on 6/25/23.
