30th Anniversary in 2023

Join us in 2023 for the 30th annual Atlanta FatAss. Burn off those holiday pounds & run more than anyone has the right to enjoy! Usually a "fatass" style event means = no aid, no schwag. But since this is a very special anniversary, we are looking to celebrate with:

- the chili cook off is BACK
- Hoka to provide free pair of shoes to 1st 50k male and female

GUTS Members Only!

This is a GUTS event and is FREE, but is only open to 2023 GUTS members.
2023 Membership will open on November 1st on Ultrasignup.

Course

The course is 6 loops, on the white trails (counter-clockwise/down Jack's and up the stairs).  All trail, with a few hills. Start/Finish will be at the Group Shelter. Hot food will be available at the finish.
CUTOFF: Runners must start the final loop by 3:00 PM.

FatAss Crockpot Chili Contest

Bring your best chili and vie for a special GUTS prize! Please bring the chili in a crockpot because we don't have enough burners on the stove for everyone. GUTS will provide the bowls and utensils as well some yummy chili toppings. Each runner will be given a ballot to vote for their favorite chili and the winner will receive a special award. The more chili you bring - the more post-race food we will have.

Parking and Packet pickup

Packet pickup at group shelter on race morning starting at 6:30 am
Parking in Group Shelter parking lot or adjacent parking area. Please follow signs and directions of volunteers.

There is a $5 State Park parking fee. Fee will be collected upon your arrival into the park, so please have $5 or your annual park pass handy. Georgia Annual State Park passes are a great way to support our parks, and may be purchased at the park headquarters or online.
