Are you ready to take on The Slam?!!
The Huntsville Slam is an annual challenge that is put on by the Huntsville Track Club. It consists of completing four specific Huntsville Track Club races- two 50ks on the rugged trails of Monte Sano, one 50k on a manicured grass cross-country course, and one road marathon. All races are in Huntsville, AL. You must SIGN UP and complete each race within that race's designated time limits.
The races, in order, include the following:
Dizzy Fifties 50k on November 16th, 2024,
Rocket City - Full Marathon on December 15th, 2024,
Recover From The Holidays 50k on December 31st, 2024, and last, but certainly not least...
Mountain Mist 50k on January 25th, 2025.
It is recommended that you sign up for all four races before signing up for The Huntsville Slam. If you are NOT REGISTERED for EACH RACE, you will not complete the slam!!! REGISTRATION CLOSES December 1st, 2024, AND NO EXCEPTIONS WILL BE MADE. Your finish time will be verified after each race to ensure you remain qualified to receive the Huntsville Slam Jacket once you’ve completed Mountain Mist.
The cost is non-refundable. This means that you will not be able to get a refund if you do not complete all four races for any reason (including failure to sign up or the race being full).
After conquering the fourth challenge, Mountain Mist, you will receive an embroidered jacket. Due to logistical reasons, and the need to accurately verify times, your jacket will be available within a few days of Slam completion. The race director will reach out to you and arrange a drop off when possible, or a pickup. If you live out of town and neither option is feasible, your finisher’s jacket can be mailed.
