Description
We are celebrating our 27th Anniversary in 2025! The Bear 100 is a cool, Autumn point to point 100 Mile race. It is a beautiful run through the Pines, Golden Aspen and Red Maples of the Wasatch-Cache National Forest of Utah, the Bear River Range of Utah & Idaho and finishing at Bear Lake.
The Bear 100 is a Hardrock and Western States 100 qualifier and is an UTMB index race.

2025 Details
Race Day is Friday September 26, 2025 6am - 36 hr cutoff
Registration opens Dec 1, 2024 at 8am MST.
Race Fee: $350 + Tax + Ultrasignup Fee
Registration is first-come, first-served. We expect it to fill quickly (it did). We have a waiting list that is capped at 400 entrants. In 2024, the first 210 on the waiting list either got invited or withdrew.
You must complete a 50 miler in under 16 hours OR complete any 100K, 100 or 200 Miler under the cutoff before registering for the 2025 Bear 100. You have to have completed an official race of 50 miles or longer. No links to Strava of a birthday run count, sorry. In order to register for the 2025 event you must have completed the requirement within the last 4 years prior to registering (qualifying window December 1, 2020 - December 1, 2024).
We will verify all qualifiers after registration via official race results from Ultrasignup and/or the race's websites. Anyone who registers but has failed to complete the required qualifier will forfeit their entry and be refunded their entry minus fees and taxes.
You are also required to perform 8 hours of service (trail work or volunteer at an ultra) to run The Bear 100. The window of service begins September 26, 2024 until the deadline on September 15, 2025. The service requirement isn't required to be completed prior to registering. Race management may use their discretion if the race is canceled for any reason. You may not receive some or all of your entry back if that occurs. Race management also reserves the right to deny entry to anyone for any reason.
