Experience the vibrant beauty of fall at the Daingerfield State Park 5K Turkey Trek, set against the stunning backdrop of the park’s diverse landscape. This trail race weaves through two picturesque trails: Rustling Leaf Trail and Mountain View Trail.

Starting on Rustling Leaf Trail, runners will enjoy a scenic journey through a tapestry of autumn colors, with the crisp fall air and rustling leaves creating a refreshing atmosphere. The trail’s rolling terrain and serene views of Daingerfield Lake set a peaceful yet invigorating tone.

As you transition to Mountain View Trail, the challenge intensifies with steeper climbs and rocky sections. The trail rewards you with breathtaking panoramic views of the fall foliage and distant hills, offering a striking contrast to the tranquil lake views.

This 5K race combines the serene charm of Rustling Leaf Trail with the dramatic, elevated vistas of Mountain View Trail, providing a memorable fall trail running experience amidst the park's natural splendor.

- Surface: Dirt single track, rocky/rooty trails
- Course: Daingerfield State Park Rustling Leaves and Mountain View Trails
- Elevation: A few rolling hills and one punchy climb showing 300-foot elevation for 5K loop
- Location: Daingerfield State Park (455 Park Rd 17, Daingerfield, TX 75638)
- Weather: Historic Average 47-66 degrees
- Cupless Race: Please bring a cup or bottle, we don't serve cups!

Registration closes either before Nov 27th at 11:59PM or at 150 people capacity. No race day registration is available.

These price increases will follow:

Runners may receive a full race credit to any race of their choosing with a minimum 30-day notice. Race credits cannot be transferred for notices less than 30 days. We do not offer full refunds. Receive your credit by canceling your registration. To cancel, log into Ultrasignup > Registration History and select “Edit” to cancel your race. Your credit needs to be used within one year. If you need an extended time to use your credit due to medical reasons (including pregnancy) or military deployments, please reach out beforehand.

We proudly offer discounts for all active duty military & first responders. Please visit our website and contact us to claim your discount. We will ask for a picture of your ID.
