Last One's a Rotten Egg!
How many 3.5-mile/700 ft loops can you complete in 59:59 or faster?!?
This year, the last official finisher within the allotted time per lap is the rotten egg and will be eliminated from the race, along with anyone who took an hour or longer to get through the cones! No matter what, the field of runners will be reduced by at least one person each lap!
Each subsequent lap will be run in the opposite direction as the one before.
If there are two or more runners remaining for the 10th and final lap, it'll be a race to see who places 1st, 2nd, 3rd, etc.
A new lap will start, on the hour, every hour:
Lap 1 (Counter-clockwise) - 8:00 am
Lap 2 (Clockwise) - 9:00 am
Lap 3 (CCW) - 10:00 am
Lap 4 (CW) - 11:00 am
Lap 5 (CCW) - 12:00 pm
Lap 6 (CW) - 1:00 pm
Lap 7 (CCW) - 2:00 pm
Lap 8 (CW) - 3:00 pm
Lap 9 (CCW) - 4:00 pm
Lap 10 (CW) - 5:00 pm
The Course
The course will take you .5 miles east, up Bates Canyon Rd, where you'll split and head southeast for another half mile. Just past the 1-mile mark, you'll climb "Kill Hill", and follow the split-rail fence to the south for a 100 yards or so. At mile 1.25 you'll make a hairpin turn to the north, along some double-track, where you'll meet up with Bates Canyon Rd again (mile 1.8); after heading east for 0.2 miles, you'll take a hairpin turn to the northwest for your 0.8 mile descent of the wooded "BBC" trail, where you'll reconnect wtih Bates Canyon Rd, for your half-mile descent back to the Start/Finish Area.
Each lap will be run in alternate direction

Start/Finish Area
We'll be here for you at the end of each lap, with basic ultra event food and drink. If you have special dietary needs or want to supplement what may be offered, you are encouraged and welcome to bring your own food. Use your vehicle, which will be parked at the Start/Finish Area, to keep whatever changes of clothing or gear you'd like to have for your race.
Prizes
The top three men and women will receive a modest award.
