This laid‑back, high‑fun event features a stunning and challenging 4.8‑mile looped course winding through beautiful private property near Baum Lake. Whether you’re a hardcore ultra‑runner, a casual walker, or bringing your burro for the burro race, all timed events and distances share the same loop—showcasing vibrant fall colors, diverse wildlife, and breathtaking scenery.
Run, walk, crawl—or trot with your ass—this is the trail party you don’t want to miss.
🌲 Course Highlights
Terrain — A perfect 50/50 mix of flowy single‑track and dirt service road, with rolling hills and wooded sections. Each loop includes approximately 370 ft of elevation gain and loss for a fun, varied challenge.
Scenic Views — Enjoy Baum Lake every lap and soak in starry skies during night running. Pure magic.
Loop Design — Track your progress lap by lap. Run as much or as little as you want in your chosen time window—super chill, low‑pressure vibes.
Aid Station — The start/finish hub is stocked with snacks, soda, water, electrolytes, hot made‑to‑order food, and a cozy broth bar to keep you fueled and smiling.

Defer your registration for any reason up to one week before race day.
Transfer your spot anytime up to one day before your start.
Burro race specific info
Burro Race Info
Burro racers, bring your own donkey and join the fun! You’re responsible for your burro—treat them humanely. No striking, dragging, or mistreatment or you’ll be disqualified.
To earn an official finish:
Your burro must wear a pack saddle carrying a shovel, pick, and pan (secure however you like).
Rope length max: 15 feet.
Keep your ass under control.
Your burro can’t carry you—but you’re welcome to try carrying them.
Burro racers can run:
4.8 miles
12‑hour burro event — run as many loops as you want, swap burros if needed, and flip loop direction for extra fun.
