ABOUT

Are you in it for The Long Run?

The Long Run will feature a give or take 5 mile loop around Jacobsburg State Park on a mixture of single track and gravel trails. The start and finish will be at the Equestrian Parking Lot. The loop has approximately 450 feet of elevation change. Those competing can select to run/hike the 5 mile event, the 3H or the 6H event.

Fall Back is the rendition of The Long Run where the original course is run in reverse! This course is run clockwise from the start. Curious which direction is harder? Come test it out on race day!

In registration you will have to select one event. For a lap to count you must complete it BEFORE the time cut off at 3H or 6H. This is a runner, hiker, walker friendly event! Check in will be from 6:30AM-7AM for the 6H race and from anytime before 10AM for 3H or 5 mile race.

THIS IS A HIKER FRIENDLY EVENT!

Runners doing the 3H/6H event are allowed to have a bin or bucket less than 30 gallons in size for their aiding. These will be placed near the start/finish line for runners to stop after they check in for their lap.

No limit on crew or support day of event. This event is spectator friendly.

ZERO CARBON

This is a zero carbon event, meaning we take into account the emissions released in relation to hosting this trail race. The Running Kind will be subsidizing the cost to offset the event, however there will be an extra $1 added on to your registration specifically for this cost. This $1 will offset the carbon emissions for your personal travel to and from the event. We are excited to partner with Native Energy to support a carbon offset project we believe in.

In addition to going zero carbon at this event, The Running Kind will be collecting monetary donations for the Jacobsburg Environmental Education Center.
