2025 Mt Sopris Run-Off - May 18th - New Course and New Date

The Mt Sopris Run-Off takes place in Carbondale, CO and offers two distances - 10-Miles and 25k

Historically this race has been a part of the Town of Carbondale's Mountain Fair Weekend in late July. In 2025, the race will once again take place on Sunday, May 18th at 8:00am as a part of a growing trail festival weekend in the Roaring Fork Valley. The race will feature two distances - 10-miles and 25k - both utilizing the iconic "Up & Over" single track trail in a point-to-point race taking runners from the start at Flying Dog Ranch on Prince Creek Road up and over and ending at Rock Bottom Ranch in Basalt, CO.

We will once again be hosting the Trail Running Film festival with new films for 2025 in conjunction with the race weekend. Details to be announced. Come and stay in the beautiful Roaring Fork Valley for a weekend and enjoy everything that we have to offer.

Post race party at Rock Bottom ranch with locally sourced grass fed beef hamburgers (veggie options too) as well as a fun after party with snacks, NA beer and local beer.

Cut Off

There will be a cutoff for the 25k race. A runner must make it through the 10 miler cut off down Buckhorn in 2 hours and 20 minutes or the runner will be sent to finish the 10 miler course rather than the 25k course.
