Description

Course Description:
The Natchez Trace Trail offers approximately 25 miles of scenic, fast trails. While the terrain isn't overly steep, certain sections can be rugged due to its less-traveled nature, accumulating up to 6,000 feet of elevation gain for the 50-miler. The trail primarily consists of single-track paths with several road crossings, providing runners with both beauty and a touch of history, echoing the journeys of The Kaintucks.

50-Mile Runners: Start and finish at Garrison Creek, covering the trail out and back.

Marathon Runners: Will be transported from Garrison Creek to the trail's end and run back. Transportation costs are included in the registration. To complete the full marathon distance, runners will pass the finish line, loop back for an additional 2.5 miles, and then return to the finish.

Ruckers & 13-Mile Participants: Will depart Garrison Creek at 9:00 AM CST for transport to their respective starting points.

Packet Pickup:
Race Day Pickup: Available starting at 5:00 AM at Garrison Creek. Marathon participants should expect a short wait as 50-mile runners start at 6:00 AM.

Course Rules:
Trail Adherence: Participants must remain on designated trails and avoid roads. If lost, stop and contact the Race Director or retrace your steps. Off-course runners found on roads will be disqualified.
No Pacers or Outside Aid: To ensure fairness, pacers and external assistance are prohibited.
Leave No Trace: Tampering with course markings, littering, or cutting the course will result in disqualification and notification to other race directors.

Hydration: Runners must carry their own hydration devices; aid stations may not provide cups.

Support Crew Guidelines:
Supporters are welcome but must not stop on the roadside of the Natchez Trace Parkway, as it's illegal and could jeopardize future events. Designated rest stops along the route will be available for crew support.

Custom awards will be presented to the top three overall male and female finishers.

Join us for a challenging and picturesque run along the historic Natchez Trace Trail!

HardRuck

We’re excited to offer the Rucking Division again for each race. For those new to the concept, rucking involves walking or hiking with a weighted pack. The term comes from the military word “Rucksack,” meaning “Backpack.”t.

Weight Requirements:

Over 150lb: 20lb dry weight
Under 150lb: 10lb dry weight

Weigh-ins will occur 30 minutes before the race start—no weigh-in, no patch. The weight must be in the form of a steel ruck plate, weight vest blocks, bumper plates, or other items with clearly stamped weight. Participants may not remove or reduce the weight during the event and may face random checks at aid stations or anywhere on the course. We rely on the honor system, so please do the right thing.
