Race Description:

The inaugural Inferno Endurance Run will happen on a 3.7 mile loop at Jesse Helms Park in Monroe. This race is happening in the heat of the North Carolina summer and it is going to be HOT!!!!! We want to see who can handle running in the summer heat and hang on til the end. Are you strong enough? Just crazy enough? How many laps can you finish in 4 hours/ 8 hours?
This course offers altering terrain from paved walkways to gravel and grass paths. Full coverage from the sun to portions of wide-open fields. The course is not very technical, offering a lot of fast and flat and around 250 feet of gain per loop. Most of the course is wide enough to pass with small portions of single-track mixed in.

The heat will be a major factor of this race, so plan accordingly. We will have a fully stocked main aid station at the start/finish line with all the normal supplies to keep you fueled and hydrated, and even small lunch options.
Bring your canopy tents and chairs, and save a place in the festival area for rest or food between loops.
