Location
Willow Creek State Recreation Area (SRA) is a beautiful state recreation area in northeastern Nebraska, located on the 700-acre Willow Creek Reservoir. The park is approximately 4 miles southwest of Pierce and about 15 miles northwest of Norfolk. Willow Creek SRA is managed by the Nebraska Game and Parks Commission.
Lodging & Camping
Willow Creek State Recreation Area offers several camping options, including:

Willow Way Campground features 165 campsites with electricity, along with numerous Basic campsites for those who do not require electrical hookups.
Additional campground amenities include:
* Picnic tables
* Fire rings/grills

* Dump and fill station
* Modern restrooms
* Showers
* Laundry facilities
The dump and fill station is located in the town of Pierce, approximately 5 miles from the lake. Willow Creek SRA campers can find the dump and fill station near the Pierce County Courthouse.
Reservations are available for approximately half of the campsites at Willow Creek SRA. The remaining campsites are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
Campers using first-come, first-served sites should register their nightly camping fees using the raised, locked payment boxes known as “iron rangers.” Self-service envelopes are available at each iron ranger station. Check or cash only.
Iron rangers are generally located near the park entrance or campground areas. On-site camping information signs will be available to help guide campers through the self-registration process.
Course

The course will be an out-and-back on the Limestone Hike/Bike Trail, with participants completing 2 miles out and 2 miles back for a total of 4 miles per loop.
The Start/Finish and main aid station will be located at the Warren G. Otto Picnic Area (Boat Launch).
From the Start/Finish, you will head toward the Willow Creek State Recreation Area Campground. The turnaround point will be located at the campground, where you will turn around and head back toward the Start/Finish.
The campground will also serve as a crew access point, allowing you to meet and resupply with your crew during the race.

Awards will be presented to the top male and female finishers in each race category.
There will be no cash prizes, but each category winner will receive a custom award plaque by Richter’s Design

Pacers
Pacers are allowed based on the following race distances:
* 48-Hour: Pacers may join after 12 hours
* 24-Hour: Pacers may join after 12 hours
* 12-Hour: Pacers may join after 6 hours
* 6-Hour: No pacers
* 3-Hour: No pacers
Participants may use one or multiple pacers once they reach the designated time.

We will have food available throughout the race to help keep you fueled and moving forward.

The general menu will remain the same each day. All hot meals will include a vegan or vegetarian option, such as vegan soup, vegan quesadillas, veggie burgers, and other plant-based choices.

Unmanned Aid Station
There will be an unmanned aid station approximately halfway around the course. At the Campground is this located.
The aid station will be stocked with:

* A variety of snacks
Please plan accordingly and remember that this is an unmanned aid station.
