Sneak Peek
About
The 2027 Outlands Endurance Races take place April 17th and 18th out of Peninsula Campground in Pilot Hill, California. What started as a single-day trail running event has expanded into a full weekend of endurance racing across two disciplines trail running and mountain bike riding, built on the same remote singletrack along Folsom Lake that has defined Outlands from the start.
Saturday brings the trail runs, 25K, 50K, and 50 mile distances on rugged lakeshore singletrack with steady climbing, quiet terrain, and wide open views that few races ever reach. The 25K and 50K are strong entry points for runners new to trail or ultramarathon distances, while the 50 mile adds more time on feet and harder sections for those looking for a bigger day. All trail run distances register through UltraSignup.
Sunday adds the Outlands 50K Mountain Bike Race, starting at Magnolia Ranch and finishing at Peninsula Campground after 50 kilometers through Salmon Falls Ranch and the surrounding terrain. Participants park at the finish line, shuttles will take riders out to the start at Magnolia Ranch before the race begins. Aid stations are located at Cronin Ranch (mile 8), Salmon Ranch 1 (mile 16), and Salmon Ranch 2 (mile 21). To register only for the ride, please head here: BikeReg.
The Space Bunny Challenge is open to anyone who runs on Saturday and rides on Sunday. It doesn't matter which trail distance you choose, finish any of the three runs and complete the Sunday MTB race and you'll take home a unique plaque and jersey. Sign up by adding the MTB 50 Ride (Sunday) option during your trail run registration on UltraSignup.
