Your 2026 tax-deductible membership donation will go towards enhancing, maintaining, and preserving the Cambria County Trails, including The Ghost Town Trail, the Path of the Flood Trail, and the Jim Mayer Riverswalk Trail.
Course
The 5k course will be along the original section of the Jim Mayer Trail that extends from Riverside (on Michigan Ave) to Bridge Street in Johnstown. The out-and-back course will begin and end at the Riverside Trailhead. Participants will follow the scenic section of the trail along the Stonycreek River and will pass by the Trail Art Murals near the old trolley bridge in Moxham, with a turn around point shortly after the trolley bridge.
A water/Gatorade station will be available on the course at the 5k turn around point by Bridge Street. Water/Gatorade and first aid supplies will be available at the finish.
Since walkers and runners will be on the course, walkers are asked to stay to the right on the trail. The race will happen RAIN OR SHINE!

7:30 – 8:30 a.m. - Packet/T-Shirt Pick-Up & Race Day Registration
9:00 a.m. - 5K Run/Walk Start
9:45 a.m. - 5K Awards Ceremony (Finish Line – Riverside Trailhead on Michigan Ave.)

Parking
Parking will be available at Riverside Volunteer Fire Dept (615 Liberty Ave Johnstown, 15905), which is just a few blocks from the Start Line. The Riverside trailhead is located at 200 Michigan Ave., Johnstown, PA 15904.
Race Proceeds
ALL proceeds from the Jim Mayer Family Fun Run will go towards the Friends of the Trails program, which exists to enhance and expand the Cambria County Trails. Awards
Medals will be awarded to the top 3 male and top 3 female finishers of the 5k run and the 5k walk. Top 3 male and top 3 female awards will be provided to youth for the same.
Timing, Results, & Photos
The 5k and 10k Race will be timed by Ultrasignup.com. Finisher results and photos will be posted on our Facebook (Cambria County Conservation and Recreation Authority) and on UltraSignUp.com (Keyword: Jim Mayer Trail Run).
